Educator, worldwide lecturer and author of the first two comprehensive books on "Mechanical/Electrical Systems in Historic Buildings", and "Fiber Optics for Functional Architectural Lighting (both McGraw-Hlill). Served four years as an appointed lighting designer on the national ASHRAE/IESNA committee for Standard 90.1 (´Energy Conservation for other than low-rise residential buildings). 90.1 is the basis for LEED, IECC and state building codes.

About My Passion:

Lighting is essential to see or do anything. It is as important as Food, Clothing and Shelter to enhance all design and increase productivity, safety, sales, attendance and profit. My goal is to eliminate bad lighting that is hot, energy-guzzling, misfocused, burned out, glaring or unsuitable for the decor.
